World Civet Day

5 April

Join us for an exciting and educational day as we celebrate World Civet Day, honoring these fascinating and often misunderstood creatures. Our event will feature insightful talks about the African civets, binturongs, and the crucial role these animals play in their ecosystems.

Discover the beauty and importance of these elusive mammals, from their unique behaviors to their vital role in maintaining biodiversity.

Throughout the day, experts will share their knowledge about African civets, including their habitat, diet, and the conservation challenges they face. We will also dive into the mysterious world of binturongs, known for their distinct appearance and sweet, popcorn-like scent.

For families and children, we are offering a free activity booklet packed with fun and informative activities designed to spark curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation. Kids will enjoy coloring pages, puzzles, and trivia that will make learning about civets and binturongs an adventure.

Come celebrate, learn, and be inspired to protect the wild wonders of the world on this special day!

In conjunction with The Civet Project we will be fundraising to help support their projects. You can find out more at https://www.thecivetproject.com/project
